Objective: The aim of the study is to investigate the usability and the effects of telerehabilitation on flexibility, abdominal muscle strength, balance function and quality of life in the Bike Accessories - Pumps healthy housewives who were in sedentary lifestyle.Design: Non-randomised study.Subjects: The study included ten women who were not employed and were sedentary in their daily lives.Intervention: The study started with the first face-to-face evaluation.Skype, which is a videoconferencing method, was used as a telerehabilitation application.
A total of 10 sessions of clinical pilates exercises were applied by using the telerehabilitation method.The same assessments were repeated before and after the telerehabilitation.Main Measurement: Short Form Health Survey 36-item, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Subscale, Exercise Benefits/Barriers Scale, Oxford Happiness Questionnaire were used as the outcome measures.For flexibility, sit and reach test, trunk lateral flexion test, hand-finger ground distance test were conducted.Abdominal muscle strength was measured with crunch test and plank test and balance was assessed by one leg stance test.
Results: It was found that there was a significant difference in results of the Crunch Test (p=0.018), plank test (p=0.043), one leg standing test (p=0.018), mental health (p=0.018) and SF-36 pain scores (p=0.
016) between pre and post telerehabilitation assessment.There was no Me Halloween Costume significant difference in Rosenberg Self-Esteem Subscale, Exercise Benefits/Barriers Scale, Oxford Happiness Questionnaire Score.Conclusion: As a result of the telerehabilitation on healthy sedentary housewives, a significant difference was observed in muscle strength, balance functions on dominant side and some sub-parameters of the SF-36 (emotional well-being and pain scores).
